saif_ul_malook_071

Do not rejoice at the death of your enemy because your friends too have to die,
The day shall pass O Muhammad; the afternoon sun is soon going to set.

Safar ul Ishq (3)

saif_ul_malook_070

Come, O dear girl, fill your pitcher with water before the sun goes down,
When the sun sets and darkness prevails, you’ll be afraid of going home alone.

Safar ul Ishq (2)

saif_ul_malook_62
Not for ever the bulbul sings in the garden, not for ever is the enjoyment of spring,
Not for ever is mother, Father, Beauty, Youth; not for ever is the company of friends.

Safar ul Ishq (1)

saif_ul_malook_46

Gardens, spring, and rose gardens, without friends of what use?
If I meet the friend, thousands of sorrows will be gone; I will be grateful a hundred thousand times.

Plans of God

Why ponder thus, the fortune to forsee,
and jade they brain to vain perplexity,
Cast off thy care, leave Allah's (God's) plans to Him,
He made them all,
Without consulting thee.

Omar Khayyam's The Rubaiyat.

Musalman

“Mai aik ese kitab khareedna chahta hun jis mai sada andaz mai bataya gaya ho ke musalman ka matlab kya hai.”
“Kya ap gher musalman hain?”
“Je nahe, Allah ke fazal se mai musalman hun. Dar-asal mai pedaishi musalman hun."
"Muh zubani musalman? Jis ne kalma parhlia wo musalman hai."
"Bilkul mai ne bhi kalma parhlia hai. Mai bhi musalman hun, leken jan’na chahta hun ke musalman ka matlab kya hai."
"Tou Islam par kitabain parheye."

"Parhe hain, buhat parhe hain. Shayad isi wajah se confuse hogaya hun. Wese bhi kitab aur cheez hai, musalman aur cheez."

Taqreer

Taqreer mai buhat kuch hota hai. Josh hota hai, jazba hota hai, khatabat hote hai, na’ray hote hain leken asar nae hota. Dalelain tou hote hain magar pata nae ese kyun hota hai leken ese hota hai, ke behes ya daleed se kabhi koi qail nae hua.

Ulma ke taqreerain pehle se tayar ke hue hote hain. Ratti hue hote hain. Theoretical hote hain. Sirf honton se deliver ke jate hain. In mai dil shamil nae hota. Dil shamil na ho tou asar kesa?

Rule # 3

Each and every reader comprehends the Holy Qur’an on a different level in tandem with the depth of his understanding. There are four levels of insight. The first level is the outer meaning and it is the one that the majority of the people are content with. Next is the Batm—the inner level. Third, there is the inner of the inner. And the fourth level is so deep it cannot be put into words and is therefore bound to remain indescribable.

Rule # 2

The Path to the Truth is a labor of the heart, not of the head. Make your heart your primary guide! Not your mind. Meet, challenge, and ultimately prevail over your nafs with your heart. Knowing your ego will lead you to the knowledge of God.

Rule # 1

How we see God is a direct reflection of how we see ourselves. If God brings to mind mostly fear and blame, it means there is too much fear and blame welled inside us. If we see God as full of love and compassion, so are we.
